Day 5 of Crest White Strips! Review!

Day 5 Crest White Strips Review!

So I have to admit, the first two days of whitening was actually somewhat painful. I have whitened my teeth with lower level strips plenty of times, and have never experienced any pain from it whatsoever. However, with these strips I started noticing sharp pains that went far down into my root  while whitening. Crest did mention that pain might occur, but it would be temporary, and they were right!

The pain has completely ended and I have still used the strips every day and have felt no more pain. I think my teeth needed to get used to the strong whitening power, and they have! The results are still so noticeable! My teeth are already so much whiter and look fantastic! I am so excited to post some pictures of my results thus far.

I still highly recommend this product. My teeth are so much whiter, even after only 5 uses out of the 20. I will keep posting more results, and the next post will include pictures!!

Crest 3D White Whitestrips Review-Day 3 !!

I am so excited to write my second product review! I qualified for the Oral Aesthetics VoxBox from Influenster.com, and they partnered with Crest, and sent me a full size Crest 3D White Whitestrips (professional effects) to try out! I was so pumped!
Picture of my opened VoxBox:
I use whitestrips about once a year, but I have never used such a high level! These whitestrips are the professional level 4, I usually use level 1! Not only are they a very high level, but they have Advanced Seal, so they stay on your teeth so well!

Currently I am on day three of the twenty day trial. I use an upper and lower strip every day for thirty minutes, and by then end of the twenty day, I should have a sparkly new smile! I am so excited! Although its only day three, I already notice a huge difference. My teeth look a few shades whiter! I am really pleased with the quickness of the results!

I also am so impressed with how well the whitestrips adhere to my teeth. Its crazy how well they stick on compared to store brand whitestrips. I will never go back to store brand again!

I will check back in every three days to give an update on how my teeth are looking! Thanks again Influenster.com and Crest!

Japanese Thermal Reconditioning Review

Japanese Thermal Reconditioning Review! My Experience and Opinion!

Some of you might not know that I naturally have extremely curly hair. Yes, it gets super frizzy in the heat, and yes, it gets extremely tangley after swimming. This summer, I got so fed up with having to straighten my hair every day, and started to do my research! I kept seeing reviews of this hair treatment called, "Japanese Thermal Reconditioning" or it is called "Lisco Straightening" or, "Yuko Straightening".  All of the salons that I was researching that offered this treatment promised permanent straightening results that allow the hair to be 100% humidity resistant and stick straight. I was sold.I watched countless YouTube reviews and found the best salon in Georgia that offered this treatment. I got the treatment at the end of may, and without tip, it cost me $350.00. Pricey? Yes. Worth it? ABSOLUTELY!

The Process
So I guess I should start explaining the day that I walked in the salon. After countless hours of research, I chose Jade Hair Salon in Smyrna, Georgia. My appointment was at 9:00 am. I got there with my natural hair which was out of control..and sat in the chair to get my hair evaluated. The owner (Jade) came by and asked my about my hair's history. For example, she wanted to know when the last time I got a straightening treatment on my hair was..how long it had been since I've gotten my hair dyed..etc. She told me I had "virgin" hair..aka no color, no treatments..all natural! Then it was time to get the price evaluation based on my hair length. If I got about four inches cut off..which I did..the price would be in the "medium hair length margin" at $350.00! So she gave me an amazing haircut with layers and all the works..at no extra charge! Then the process started. First the put the yucky scented Lisco brand of the thermal reconditioner all over my hair and left it on there for quite some time. It smelt horrible. I can't express that enough..so get prepared! Ha! After that my hair was washed and blown dry and then straightened strand by strand. This is the nitty gritty. They take their time and really get every piece as straight as possible! After the straightening, more chemicals are put in, the hair is washed and blown dry again, and voila! STICK STRAIGHT HAIR!

After Results!
After getting the process done, you cannot wash the hair for 72 hours, or put it behind your ear, or even put it in a pony tail! It has to be left down because the product is now setting in the hair. So after the 72 hours was up, I washed my hair and couldn't believe how silky smooth it felt even while washing it! Then I let it dry and it seriously was stick straight..and looked amazing! I am so happy with my results!!

My Overall Opinion..
After the treatment, I did notice a little bit of damage on the very top of my scalp right at the front of my face. My hair is very fine and delicate..and I did expect a little bit of damage. The damage is nothing substantial, and would have occurred any way with my intense every day straightening regimen. It has now been a total of almost 6 months since I have had the treatment, and obviously my hair has grown out! It is a pain having the regrowth because I have to straighten the roots of my hair which is somewhat of a tedious task. I will be getting the treatment again! But I am going to wait quite some time to let my hair "heal" a little bit!

Tips and Tricks!
  • DO RESEARCH! Don't get scammed and have to pay upwards of 500.00! Just because a salon might be cheap, doesn't mean the results are bad!
  • After getting the treatment, use sulfate free shampoo and conditioner, it is less harsh on the hair!
  • Make sure you research the product the salon you are going to uses, two of the best are Lisco and Yuko!
